The building was purchased subject to short term leases which provided time to prepare plans for a significant refurbishment and extension of the building and obtain planning consent. We have transformed the building back to its original use as a prestigious Central London mansion block comprising 25 apartments with leisure and business facilities. We created additional accommodation by constructing a new basement and seventh floor extension and filling in existing lightwells. There was a planning requirement to keep medical use in the building which we did by utilising one of the existing entrances on Cavendish Square to create a separate self-contained medical centre which we pre-let to a leading London NHS Trust for their private patients.
